Maasai Camp Arusha Tanzania

It’s noisy and dusty, but facilities are good. Around the expansive grounds you’ll find hot showers; pool tables; a restaurant and a happening bar. Don’t plan on sleeping on Friday or Saturday since the disco goes all night.
The place is not exceptional. Just what an overlander needs. Big camp ground, Its very popular for big overlander trucks that means parties are going on the whole night plus the locals that hang around. Not so bad but dont expect too much!
Good enough for stop over!

Level 8 bar Dar es Salaam

Fun fixer one is enjoying the view at level 8 the Kilimanjaro Kempiski

Level 8 bar

Oh yeah....

There is a view of the bay through large windows. There is an outside terrace accessible from the inside, where you can enjoy the sea breeze and a nice cold beer of your choice.
A live band plays nightly tunes to wind down to. Level 8 is located on the top floor of the excellent Kilimanjaro Kempinski hotel which is the heart of Dar es Salaam.
The only international rooftop bar in Dar es Salaam where international DJ’s entertain the crowd...Playing the funkiest tunes every Friday and Saturday night from 10pm onwards.
This place has fluctuated in its approach and service. I have visited for drinks and dinner a few times since it opened. It seems that its expensive but average. It has great views from the upper port facing rooms.
The food was okay and they have lovely rooms very spacious. The hotel itself if extremely clean. The hospitality is excellent.

6 Degrees the best restaurant in Zanzibar!

Fabulous place...

Its a must visit place...

Us enjoying life...

What a fantastic spot and view...

Fun fixer one (left) and his family...

Classic

Do not visit here during a hot day...you will be disappointed

Although it is not typically Zanzibar, it is sleek, modern and atmospheric. We started with cocktails on the roof which was a perfect way to overlooking the blue waters of the Indian Ocean.
We had the best nonalcoholic drink ever - their own concoction with fresh ginger and mint. It was very refreshing. The restaurant is open air with a great view with a nice wine list.
We loved everything about 6 degrees! First discovered it when we wanted an evening drink and ended up enjoying gorgeous cocktails in the top bar looking out over the sand, sea and best colorful lights at night.
Perfect spot to sit and watch all the beach activities.
The place was not disappointing. It's a great place with fantastic view, the place has several dining areas; beautiful terrace, rooftop bar and exquisitely designed indoors room. A bit pricey, but that is to be expected at a venue providing to mostly visitors. Worth the price though. Everything went just perfect as we expected except the ventilation system wasn't effective and music there is a bit noisy for people to have a conversation.

Friday nights at Skylight band Thai village masaki Dar es Salaam

Skylights band is the one of Tanzania’s fastest growing bands serenade the affair with a
wide range of music that appeals to the target.

One of my favorite band which gives fans what they want, here you can get the real sound of African music.

They have excellent musicians and hot dancers; be warned they gonna make you forget your drink (jocking... and in the picture he is not one of them...that happened when they invited the CEO of this blog to show how it is done live on stage).

They play all types of music; Bongo flavour (local), African (lingala, zouk, rhumba), Reggae, Ragga, House, Hip-hop and RnB.

You can catch them on fridays at Thai village situated on the conner of Chole road and Kimweri.

Many local attend at Thai village during fridays cause of good live music performed by pretty good local band supported by very good musicians.

This make Thai village become very lively place recently at nights and sometimes wild but never out of control.

They also offer affordable cost of drinks and descent inexpensive dishes.

Dress code here is usually stylish and casual cloths for free time. But don't be surprised if local girls dressed in a very sexy cloths which showing most of their attributes, most of them are fishing. (Oouups my bad!) I didn't say that ;) . Anyways do not miss it, because live music is just great!
